ayer

y otra voz sonaba a mi espalda

obscuro fantasmal fallecido

y quise salir huyendo
y mis pasos no me hacían andar

quédate aqui, parecía decirme todo

acuérdate acuérdate acuérdate

de lo que ya no es

ya no es

ya no es

ya

no
es
ya no es lo mismo.

Yesterday

at 10 pm or so

I saw my reflection

in that mirror that saw me smile so many times

so long ago
-breathe-
1900

I saw only ghosts
of those that before seemed to have life

and I, 10 lives later

I am not the same
I am not the one that believed
that time does not pass in vain
but time does not pass in vain
tears don't spill just because
you were no longer at that table

nor your shadow nor your footsteps nor your no-smile

nor your friends that were there before

and another voice sang behind me
sweet but empty
and another music played
the same but different

nor laughter nor friends nor you nor anything

and I looked out the window
believing that outside still there was life
and the wind remained still
without saying anything
and ten lives flowed in front of me like waterfalls
of a river that once was clear as glass

and that instead of drying up

over time became a swamp

dark ghostly and dead

and I wanted to flee

and my footsteps would not start

stay here, everything seemed to cry

remember remember remember
that which no longer is
no longer is
no longer is
no

longer

is
it's not the same.
